Food is more than nourishment. Food has the power to bring people together, to bring joy and laughter and create a shared experience.
Cooking Clubhouse empowers families to good health through education, fun and child inclusive cooking lessons. We teach everything from shopping and selecting quality ingredients through to safe preparation and cooking in order to create nutritious meals at home.
Healthy habits start young and in the kitchen.
Asthma, poor sleep, joint problems, cholesterol and high blood pressure can all be linked to childhood obesity?
Childhood obesity increases chances of bullying, poor self esteem, behavioural issues and mental health challenges?
Childhood obesity is usually caused by capable parents who have too many demands on their time and don't realise their child is gaining weight until it's visible?
There are some simple steps that can be put into place to nurture your family’s health.
Kids feel a deep sense of accomplishment in being able to complete ‘adult’ tasks. Getting children involved in cooking gives them a chance to explore new and different foods and allow them to take ownership (which will entice them to eat it!).
Research shows that families who eat together build stronger relationships and have better communication.
In addition, strengthening communication skills at the dinner table can help children expand their vocabulary and lead to better grades in school.
Research indicates that when a child learns to cook, they have a significantly decreased chance (65%) of developing chronic illnesses and adult obesity.
Cooking interventions are far more beneficial when a child learns to shop, budget, meal plan and cook for their family.
Cooking Clubhouse is a one stop shop for all your educational and cooking needs. Our programs are designed to educate kids in the kitchen and help you with your workload.
Cooking Clubhouse is a unique model of cooking classes for children aged 5(ish) to 12 years. Children learn how to shop for their meals, be safe in the kitchen, cook nutritious family meals and even wash up afterwards.
All of this is taught online with fun, character driven courses taking your child through each step needed to cook the family dinner.
No driving to lessons. No demands on parents. Hands on edible education
All aligned to Australian Primary School curriculum.

Each month, your child will receive their very own pack in the mail with:
There are 12 different months available. That’s a whole year of having your young one cook for you. But if they have had enough, just opt-out.
Cooking Clubhouse is… well, an online clubhouse… that teaches children how to cook. But it’s not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking. It’s about capturing the imagination, empowerment and creativity.
Our subscriptions include fun online lessons by our very own clubhouse team and a special clubhouse pack in the mail every month.
Children learn other important lessons: life skills. Shopping, budgeting, cooking and healthy eating, not to mention mixing, stirring, baking, whisking and rolling.
Our recipes empower children to cook whole meals, no matter their age. Our recipes are allergy aware and focus on goodness.
They give cooking tools a vibrant personality that children can get to know and relate to. Each character has a particular skill that children will learn as they go.
As part of the Cooking Clubhouse subscription, every month a new utensil is given to you so that your child can achieve the next skill level and be creative with their own cooking style. They will have their own collection of utensils and a collection of skills to go with them.
All our recipes are favourites of the Clubhouse team! The Clubhouse team guide your children’s virtual grocery shopping and through the lessons each month. They make jokes and prank each other, all while teaching valuable skills.
Let’s meet the club!
Mittsy is our club leader. He’s a very handy chap to have around. Mittsy helps the team when things are hot. You will always find him near the oven or stove.
But Mittsy has some secret talents. He can keep a drink cold, he can protect your hands with thorny plants and he is great to have around when you are changing a light bulb!
Mittsy just loves a three-course meal. He’s a hungry chap. He will start off with some warm, freshly baked bread with butter. Followed by a baked dinner, especially chicken. Then for dessert, Mittsy just loves a baked rice pudding.
Mittsy is a fabulous club leader and the whole team look up to him.
Bowlinda’s job in the team is to hold all of the ingredients together. She is the best at mixing, serving and eating. Her favourite foods are cakes, salads and soup, which keeps her warm and cosy inside.
Bowlinda’s best friend is Stirling. They love to hang out together. In fact, you don’t often see one without the other. Bowlinda is a great singer and dancer. She once tried out for a part in Beauty and the Beast but they decided to have a tea cup instead. She did so well though.
Did you know that Bowlinda’s oldest relative is more than 18,000 years old!
Stirling and Bowlinda are best friends. They work together a lot. Stirling is a bit naughty and likes to stir things up! He is very energetic and spins, folds and stirs. When no one is looking, Stirling likes to sink deep into a batter. He can be hard to find. Naughty little Stirling.
He loves cakes too but he also loves ice cream and runny custards.
Did you know that Stirling was born in Egypt around 1000 BC!
Eggward helps keep the team on time. He is the organised one. He has lots of wisdom from being very old and it can make him a bit serious. He was born in the 14th century!
We love how reliable and trustworthy Eggward is. Parents also love Eggward and sometimes use him for time out, screen time and other ways to keep kids on track. He really is a good egg.
Eggward loves nothing more than, well, a soft-boiled egg!
Another one of our mischievous crew. Gratel can be very harsh on her friends, but we love her just the same. She has a cute squeaky voice and a lovely French accent. Gratel just loves to help the team with the vegetables and cheese. She’s really great at getting things ready for a meal. But be careful! Gratel is a vegetarian and gets cross when people give her meat. If Gratel is in a bad mood, there is no grater danger!
Her favourite food is chocolate! But she also loves carrot and zucchini. She is a "grate" club member, that’s for sure.
Flip is the club’s most energetic member! He’s fun and exciting. He can be a little gossipy and spread things quickly, but he can also "flip" things over to make them look better. Flip is pretty neat and can easily clean things up.
Flip loves warmth so you often find him near the stove. His absolute all-time favourite food is pancakes! He is very good at making them. He gets on really well with Bowlinda but has lots of friends outside the clubhouse. Like Alexandrizzle, Beatrice and Mash. He is an awesome club member and the whole team are proud of his ability.
Did you know that the name Scout means to listen? It can also mean First Explorer. Scout’s parents must have known that when she was born. She loves to listen to ingredients and let you know when there are enough. It’s like they magically talk to her. Scout is a curious and adventurous team member.
Her favourite subject is maths and there is not a food on this earth that Scout doesn’t like! Can you imagine? Liking EVERYTHING!
Theo is the team’s hot shot. He is a very energetic little guy and he often has beads of sweat on his face. He really feels the heat, but he loves it. No wonder he usually hangs around when things are hotting up in the clubhouse. Theo’s job in the team is to let them know when things are ready and he’s really very good at it.
Theo’s favourite foods are ice blocks and ice cream but strangely enough he also likes a really hot curry! He is absolutely a man of extremes.
Knick can chop up the thickest, strongest of foods. He can dice meat and vegetables into tiny cubes and slice a loaf of bread quicker than you can say “They all ran after the farmer's wife, who cut off their tails with a carving knife”!
But be careful! Knick has a temper. He likes to be used in a particular way. If you use him incorrectly, he might hurt you. If he is angry, put him in a drawer or give him some potatoes. Taking the skin off them will calm him down with the soft rhythmic strokes.
